About
Dr. Ashley Pezzi joined Precision Healthcare Specialists in 2023 as a full-time, board-certified clinical dermatologist. She draws on her diverse experience across the field of dermatology to diagnose and treat skin conditions and diseases in Southwest Florida. She provides medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatological services for patients of all ages.
Dr. Pezzi attended the University of Arizona in Tucson on full scholarship, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Psychology and Organismal Biology. She then headed to Houston, Texas for medical school at Baylor College of Medicine where she pursued a five-year medical student research track. During this time, she conducted extensive basic science research, presenting findings across numerous peer-reviewed publications and authored several textbook chapters. Dr. Pezzi obtained her medical degree with High Honors and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She stayed in Houston at Baylor College of Medicine for her dermatology residency, where she was able to train at world-class facilities in the largest medical center in the world.
As a board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Pezzi is passionate about serving patients of all ages in Southwest Florida. She provides patients with personalized care, treating each patient as though they were members of her own family. She is dedicated to providing high-quality, comprehensive dermatologic care in a welcoming, comfortable environment.
Dr. Pezzi accepts Medicare in addition to most major insurance plans.

Megan DeSelms, PA-C, Board-Certified Physician Assistant
A board-certified physician assistant with Precision Healthcare Specialists, Megan DeSelms has more than a decade of expertise in general, cosmetic and surgical dermatology. She is dedicated to providing exceptional dermatological care to patients of all ages in Southwest Florida.
Megan is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine’s MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program. She earned her bachelor’s degree in clinical health services and her physician assistant certificate in 2010.
Her commitment to excellence is evident through her active memberships in professional organizations such as the Society of Dermatology PAs (SDPA) and the Florida Society of Dermatology PAs (FSDPA). Megan is also recognized by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Beyond her professional affiliations, she actively participates in her local journal club, staying at the forefront of advancements in dermatology.
In addition to her specialization in dermatology, Megan has several years of experience in primary care. This enriches her holistic approach to patient treatment and care, while her broad medical knowledge allows her to ensure patients receive comprehensive and personalized care.
When she is not attending to her patients, Megan enjoys spending quality time with her family and exploring her creative side. She owns a small business as a professional calligrapher, artist and calligraphy instructor.

Henry Ruiz, PA-C, Board-Certified Physician Assistant
A board-certified physician assistant and U.S. Navy veteran with over 20 years of medical and surgical experience. Since 2007, he has served the Southwest Florida community, specializing in dermatology, providing compassionate, high-quality care. He is fluent in both English and Spanish and is proud to be part of Precision Healthcare Specialists.
He holds degrees from Campbell University (Summa Cum Laude) and East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine. His areas of expertise include skin cancer screenings, general dermatology, pediatric and geriatric care, as well as both surgical and non-surgical skin cancer treatments.
Henry is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates and the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Rachel Attenson, FNP-BC Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner
Rachel Attenson, FNP-BC is a double board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of the Precision Healthcare Specialists team, specializing in medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology. She provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients of all ages, diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic skin conditions while developing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
Rachel has experience managing advanced dermatologic therapies, including biologic medications, and is trained in a variety of dermatologic procedures. Her background in perioperative nursing has provided extensive expertise in wound care, surgical dermatology, and patient-centered procedural care.
Before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, Rachel served as a perioperative nurse at nationally recognized healthcare systems, including Duke University Hospital, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, and Novant Health, where she collaborated with multidisciplinary surgical teams in high-acuity settings.
Rachel earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Western Governors University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Molloy College. She is committed to ongoing education to remain at the forefront of advances in dermatologic care and is dedicated to delivering compassionate, individualized care that helps patients achieve healthier skin and improved quality of life.
