About
As a board-certified otolaryngologist at Precision Healthcare Specialists, Dr. Matthew Connor provides patients in Southwest Florida with comprehensive and compassionate ear, nose and throat care.
He specializes in sinus surgery, minimally invasive techniques, allergy testing and treatment, diseases of the ear, hearing aids, nasal congestion, nasal deformities, throat disorders, voice and swallowing disorders, snoring and sleep apnea, thyroid surgery, head and neck surgery, and pediatric ear, nose and throat problems. Dr. Connor also performs the Inspire surgery, also known as upper airway stimulation, a treatment for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
An accomplished head and neck surgeon, Dr. Connor received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. Next, he obtained his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, finishing at the top of his class with honors and graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Connor completed his residency training at the prestigious San Antonio Military Medical Center, and then went on to serve for nine years in the United States Air Force.
First stationed in San Antonio, Dr. Connor soon headed to the United Kingdom, where he held an assistant professorship at the University of Cambridge. He worked both at the Lakenheath Air Force Base and at the National Health Service, training young surgeons and medical students. Dr. Connor was honorably discharged as a Major and holds very fond memories of his service – and the utmost respect for men and women in uniform.
Dr. Connor has authored multiple publications and book chapters on thyroid cancer, head and neck trauma, pediatric airway, sleep apnea and sinusitis management. In his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three girls. Dr. Connor is also passionate about history, travel and a good game of golf.

Precision Healthcare Specialists is pleased to introduce Dr. Bergin, EdD, CCC-SLP; Linda Burkart, AuD; Karen Dager, MA, CCC-A; Sheryl Stratton, MS, FAAA; and Silvana Toscano, PA-C. This team of medical professionals collaborates with Dr. Connor to provide top-quality care for patients with hearing loss and related conditions in Southwest Florida.
Dr. Begin specializes in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of voice and swallowing disorders, while Linda excels in providing hearing rehabilitation, prescribing and fitting hearing aids. Karen specializes in tinnitus and balance issues, and Sheryl brings expertise in audiology and hearing aids.
Silvana, a board-certified physician assistant, brings nearly a decade of experience in internal medicine, family medicine, gastroenterology, and psychiatry. After earning her master’s degree from Nova Southeastern in 2016, she went on to treat patients with a wide range of mental health conditions at the Lado Healing Institute. Today, she is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care alongside Dr. Connor. Silvana is also fluent in Italian and is sufficient in Spanish.
Yasel Trujillo, APRN, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and a valued member of the Precision Healthcare Specialists team. She brings over a decade of nursing experience across acute care, critical care, dialysis, and clinical leadership. Yasel earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University.Throughout her career, Yasel has served in high-acuity environments, including ICU and dialysis care, with a strong emphasis on patient advocacy, clinical excellence, and interdisciplinary collaboration. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care while supporting positive long-term health outcomes.
Together, these compassionate ENT specialists form a skilled team, dedicated to helping patients of all ages in Southwest Florida improve their quality of life.
